Painting description

Egg tempera on gesso ground prime wood panels.
Genuine gold leaf karati 23¾, burnished and chiselled.
This work has been inspired by Giotto's Crucifix which is conserved in Padoa's Picture Gallery and the Crucifix conserved in the Malatestiano's Temple in Rimini.

Special Pigments employed

Prussian blue and different shades of ochre.
